NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE NADER MUSEUM AWARD, CALL TO ARTISTS
Miami, February 3rd, 2020. The Nader Museum and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announce the 2020 call to artists for the Norwegian Cruise Line Nader Museum Award.
The Norwegian Cruise Line Nader Museum Award created by Gary Nader and sponsored by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) as their commitment to support the Monroe, Miami Dade and Broward counties artists community. This Call to Artists invites all mid-career and established artists, residing in the three counties, to submit an original idea for the Norwegian Cruise Line Mural, located at Norwegian’s new Terminal Building.
The winner of the Norwegian Cruise Line Nader Museum Award will be awarded a grand prize of US $125,000 consisting of $100,000 cash prize and in addition a residency worth $25,000 at the Oceania Artist Loft.
The Call to Artists begins on February 3rd, 2020 and ends February 27th, 2020.
The winner of this Call to Artists will paint the mural on a 126 feet tall by 62 feet wide wall located on the west side of the new Norwegian Terminal north facade. The wall on which the mural will be placed faces the MacArthur Causeway, which means that the mural will be seen not only by the more than 1.2 million passengers that will be using the Norwegian Terminal but also by all the millions of passengers that arrive and depart from the PortMiami terminals and by hundreds of thousands of people that use the MacArthur Causeway every year.
